WIFI free access

It dawned into me how much a cheapskate I can be.

LOL. I always tend to piggyback someone else's wireless connection. I know, I know, it doesn't cost much to pay for one, but free connection is pretty hard to resist. LOL.

Lots of places in Bangkok offers free wireless service. Most coffee shops have free wifi access. Normally I don't even bother coming to a coffee shop unless they got some free wireless access for my laptop.

Here at Silom ( where am typing this blog right now ), I always come to Coffee Society to unwind and grab my coffee, after a hard days work, its always just nice to sit down and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, smoke a few ciggy and chat to my hearts content.

Hong Kong here I come!

My new job will send me to Hong Kong to attend the Hong Kong Jewelry and Watch Fair.

Yahoo! September 22 till 30th, I'll be there, staying at Marco Polo.

See you guys at the clubs! hahaha.

Only on Saturday night I think!

Gym Outfit

Three essential items that I'll never forget to bring to my gym before a workout:

1) mp3 player - to keep me from getting bored of my workout routines, and to keep me up and energized.

2) grooming bag - can't live without my moisturizer and perfume.

3) comfy sneakers - i can't workout without proper shoes.

Here's a picture of me before heading off to the gym, I usually go to the one nearest my place, California Gym Asok branch, during the off peak hours round 8pm till midnight.

My tiny apartment

I was pretty lucky to get this small apartment right smack in the middle of the most trendy street in Bangkok.

I literally live right across from all the happening places in this soi (street). Coffee shops, town centres, supermarkets, boutique shops and great restaurants are all a hop and a skip away from where I stay.

The rent is pretty cheap too, for the location, this is a great find. My room is pretty small though, basic, yeah, but am happy with what I did to make it more comfy. I got this room unfurnished and I still remember the time that Eileen was here and there was barely anything inside my room. How I was so pissed off that the furniture shop didn't deliver in time, we both ended up sleeping in comforters ( no bed, no couch ) nothing in the room.

Well, let me give you a peek on how things have changed since then.

This is a picture of what my balcony looks like, I filled it with plants just to liven up the small space. I never use the balcony anyway, its way too hot outside.

And here is a pic of my shoe rack, yeah, I love shoes.

My lovely bed and the full length mirror ( right next to my door ), have to check how I look before I leave my place.

My TV and other stuff ( too lazy to enumerate ).

Oh, and here is what I wore this morning to work, just v-neck tee with rooster print (looks like the Kellogs cornflakes rooster) and red wide belt paired with dark denim (7s) and oh yeah, behind me is the dresser.

Fashion update

Last Sunday, I went shopping with Tito, and was so happy with all my cool finds. Got them off the weekend market ( Chatuchak ). For those not familiar with the place, this is where one can get tons of amazing stuff, from animals, plants, antiques, clothes, furnitures.. Hmm, i guess there is nothing that Chatuchak doesn't sell.

But before that, I went to Au Bon Pain again for my Sunday brunch, after a crazy night out.

This is my fave meal at Au Bon Pain, grilled chicken and cheese sandwich, caesar salad and lemon iced tea.

This is what i was wearing that afternoon. He he he. Just sloppy outfit, nothin special.

Lookie lookie at what i wore that night to celebrate Tito's birthday at Bed Supperclub.

Dark distressed denim by G Star Raw, extra long studded belt and black v-neck cardigan ( both Chatuchak finds )

Prior to that, this was what I wore a week ago heading to the same club, but on a Saturday night.

Denim jeans by Seven, tank top "alibaba" from Zara, Dsquared white leather belt

Work Work Work

This whole week, work has been such a pain in the ass.

One of our biggest clients ( Pearl Farm in AUS )has been giving us lots of headache (production-wise).

Rush orders, mixed up orders, returns and repairs...

Oh my, my head is going to explode.

It's always nice to bump into a friend that one hasn't seen for a long long time

The bell rang and its time to go home. After hours of non-stop calls from clients at work. Finally, Its time for me to go home and rest. I've been looking forward to this since I wasn't feeling good that morning. Was having another attack of that dreaded migraine.

Final chore to be done before I can head home is to send an order to a client in his hotel, which is roughly 5 minutes walk from the office.

Of course, the ever "i know it all" me, I decided its so easy to find the hotel without asking for directions. I mean, I've been living in Bangkok for almost three years now, if I can find hidden shops tucked in the city, how hard can it be to find a huge hotel nearby where I work?

Man, was I wrong, I spent the next 30 minutes trying to locate the hotel, and finally, once i got tired and sweaty, decided to call the client to find out how to get to his hotel. After getting the direction, took me 3 minutes to find the freakin hotel.

Swear to god, I didn't see it first although I was walking around in circles in the same area.

Moving on, I was just happy to just get rid of the parcel and head home.

Traffic as usual was horrendous, and since I just can't wait to get home, I decided I'll take the subway.

I was walking quite fast when suddenly I heard my name being called. My name is quite unique out here in Bangkok. So i quickly glanced back, and I was greeted by a familiar face, so familiar that I quickly ran back and hugged my friend Tito.

Tito was one of those good ole friend that you don't really know why you never informed them that you already moved. He was just as surprised as I was when i saw him out in the streets of Silom.

We had a quick chit chat and decided we should go sit down and grab some coffee and update each other.

I found out that he is on vacation alone since its his birthday this coming Sunday, and he wanted to celebrate it on his own, away from the usual endless bouts of drunken parties to celebrate his birthday. This time he wanted something new.

After an hour or so, I was really tired, but its always great to see a familiar face in this overwhelmingly fast paced city. We both headed in different directions, he going to Patpong to do some early shopping, and as for me, I just wanted to go home. We more catching up to do, so we decided we will go out for a couple of drinks and I'll show him some clubs to go to here in the Bangkok.

Here's a pic of me before I left my place to meet him.

I had to wear a light jacket since its raining a lot that night, and had to carry a bag since I have to wake up early the next morning for work, decided I'll sleep over Jeffrey's place since he lives a mere 5 minutes away from my office compared to 45 minute travel that I have to endure everyday commuting from my pad to the office.

And here's a pic of what I was wearing that morning to head to work.

More pictures to follow, he brought his digital camera with him (Tito) so we have some pics taken at the pubs.

As soon as i get a copy, I'll post it here.
